Edgewater College is situated in Pakuranga, a well positioned suburb in East Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. Edgewater College is a 30 minute drive to the central city area and Auckland International Airport. Pakuranga is well connected to the wider Auckland area through a public transport system which includes buses, trains and harbour ferry services. Students have just a 15 minute walk or small bus ride to enjoy shopping centres (Botany & Sylvia Park), movie theatres, pool & sport complexes, beautiful beaches, cafes and restaurants.
Auckland is the 'central city' of New Zealand although not geographically!
Auckland has the 'Airport Hub' of New Zealand with daily flights connnecting people efficiently and affordably around the country. We are proud to have the most beautiful harbour in New Zealand where an extensive ferry service operates daily into the central city area and takes passengers to the small outer islands (Waiheke, Rangitoto and Great Barrier) where siteseeing is encouraged. Pakuranga is also nicely positioned with just a 50 minute drive to the rugged west coast where surf beaches and tramping tracks are abundant. Auckland really does have it all!
Edgewater College is a multicultural secondary school and considered one of the smaller colleges in the city which makes us very unique. We have approximately 900 students,13 - 18 year olds, who attend annually. All our staff are committed to helping students achieve academically also encouraging and preparing students for future career, university or tertiary education choices they will need to make.
