| Edgewater College strongly advises International Students not to own or drive a car while at secondary school in New Zealand. New Zealand Government statistics show that up to 90% of young drivers are involved in road accidents in the first year of driving a motor vehicle. Young persons under the age of sixteen are not allowed by New Zealand laws to drive a vehicle.
I acknowledge that should my son/daughter go against this advice and drive or purchase a car in New Zealand, I, as his/her parent will take full responsibility. I will therefore not hold Edgewater College responsible should my son/daughter be involved in an accident. In the case of an accident, Edgewater College is authorised to inform my son/daughter's:
